Abstract
Diferent solvents were used for sumac extractons to fnd diferent actve compounds in each fracton,
and these fractons were tested on Staphylococcus aureus (which isolated from sof white cheese),
the (MIC) minimum inhibitory concentraton of each fracton were measured then sub-inhibitory
concentraton (SIC) was used. We found that all fractons can inhibit quorum sensing in Staphylococcus
aureus in a diferent rato. By using Real-tme PCR found that the diferent sumac fractons can inhibit
the expression of tested genes (Sea, Seb, AgrA, RNAIII, and Hla). Furthermore, most sumac extracted
fractons have the ability to decreasing bioflm and growth curve in Staphylococcus aureus signifcantly,
while other fractons decreased them non-signifcantly.
