Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membangun aplikasi “Belajar Iqro” berbasis ponsel pintar untuk memperkuat implementasi pendidikan karakter religius pada siswa. Aplikasi “Belajar Iqro” (Baiq) dibangun dengan metode Mobile Application Development Lifecycle Model (MADLC) dan model proses incremental. Pembangunan perangkat lunak secara berjenjang dimulai dari fitur utama secara iterasi sampai semua fitur terimplementasi. Aplikasi “Baiq” ber hasil dibangun dengan dua aktor yaitu ustadz dan santri. Aktor ustadz memiliki fitur : merekam, mendengarkan bacaan, memberikan komentar, menilai bacaan iqro, dan menentukan apakah santri bisa lanjut, ulang dan lulus tingkat selanjutnya. Sedangkan aktor santri memiliki fitur : mengirimkan rekaman, mendengar rekaman, melihat nilai dan komentar bacaan Iqro. Pengujian usability antarmuka aplikasi dengan metode system usability scale (SUS) memperoleh 88,5 (A). Aplikasi ini mampu memberikan solusi penguatan pendidikan karakter religius pada siswa di masa pandemi. Abstract Character education is the government's main priority in the field of education, but during the epidemic period, the implementation of character education requires new adaptations. This study aims to build a smartphone-based “Learning Iqro” application to strengthen the implementation of religious character education in students. The “Learn Iqro” (Baiq) application was built using the Mobile Application Development Lifecycle Model (MADLC) method and the incremental process model. Software development in stages starts from the main features iteratively until all features are implemented. The "Baiq" application was successfully built with two actors, namely ustadz and santri. Ustadz actors have features: recording, listening to readings, providing comments, assessing iqro readings, and determining whether students can continue, repeat and pass the next level. Meanwhile, the santri actors have features: sending recordings, listening to recordings, seeing Iqro reading scores and comments. The usability test of the application interface using the system usability scale (SUS) method obtained 88.5 (A). This application can provide solutions to strengthen religious character education for students during the pandemic.
