ABSTRACT
Vietnam's logistics industry has grown rapidly in recent years and achieved many remarkable
achievements. However, there are still certain limitations. For the logistics industry to develop strongly
and sustainably, it is first necessary to reduce logistics costs in order to improve the efficiency and
competitiveness of goods and the economy. In order to attract investment and cut logistics service costs,
it is necessary to implement many synchronous solutions. In particular, promoting the development of
professional and modern logistics infrastructure to meet the needs of goods transport and circulation
is one of the most important solutions.

1. INTRODUCTION
Logistics is an activity in the chain of services from
the pre-production stage until the goods reach the
consumer. This field involves transportation,
forwarding, warehousing, administrative
procedures, import and export, trade, and retail
distribution channels. With traffic infrastructure,
warehouses and transshipment goods
increasingly complete, Vietnam's logistics
industry is clearly shaping. The logistics industry
has promoted domestic and export trade, making
an important contribution to the development of
the country's economy.
The increasing volume of goods produced and
stored domestically as well as for export is
demanding the development of a sufficiently large
and modern logistics infrastructure, ensuring a
stable and smooth flow of goods, contributing to
reducing costs, and increasing competitiveness for
businesses. With the strong growth of export,
import and domestic trade, logistics infrastructure
needs to be invested and developed more
synchronously to meet the requirements of
promoting economic growth.
Logistics infrastructure plays a very important
role in the economy. It meets the production
activities and essential needs of the supply chains
of goods and services of all enterprises to
contribute to the development of the entire
economy. In addition, logistics infrastructure also
plays the role of transporting materials, goods,
handling and storing goods as well as ensuring
communication between production lines.
Activities such as transporting goods, storing
warehouses or conveying information are basic
and characteristic activities of logistics; the supply
chain of enterprises is directly affected by the
logistics infrastructure through direct impacts on
logistics activities.
In order to attract investment and cut logistics
service costs, it is necessary to implement many
synchronous solutions. In particular, promoting
the development of professional and modern
logistics infrastructure to meet the needs of goods
transport and circulation is one of the most
important solutions.
2. STATUS OF LOGISTICS INFRASTRUCTURE IN
VIETNAM
2.1. Road transport infrastructure
Vietnam's road transport infrastructure is
increasingly improved and enhanced, significantly
reducing travel time. The whole country has a
total road length of about 595,125 km, of which
national roads are 25,484 km. [3].
