The study adopted the comparative research design to examine differences and similarities in performance appraisal system uses, effectiveness of performance appraisal, and the effect of performance appraisal system on organisational effectiveness. The study also employed the mixed research method to collect data for the study. Sample size for this study was 92. Descriptive statistics, one-sample t-test, independent t-test, Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient and simple linear regression were used to analyse the quantitative data. The interview or qualitative data was analysed using thematic analysis.
