Accordingly, the subject of the research is strategic planning of local development in municipalities in the Republic of Macedonia within some wider context of municipal functioning in national frames. On other hand, the goals of the research are concentrated around the strategic idea and the process of strategic planning or the functional structure, the legal framework for the existence and appliance of the system for local development strategic planning as well as planning the process of strategic planning of the local development in municipalities.
