This study applied referencial-based research by collecting 40 documents relevant to the theory of multiple intelligences and the concept of learning and instruction. To trace the source, the researchers used six authoritative searching engines. All documents were analyzed using qualitative data analysis procedures. The results show that the theories of learning and instruction are two different things, the urgency of multiple intelligences are to facilitate a variety of abilities, resources, activities, and differentiated learning. The direction and tendency of PBKJ in 21st Century Education is to strengthen concepts, strategies, resources and technology, as well as a varied learning environment to accommodate the development of individual capacities based on their style, preferences, and multi-talents. The implementation of PBKJ has implications for collective awareness of diversity, uniqueness, and equited education. Keywords: Learning and instruction, multiple intelligence, 21st century education, learning styles ABSTRAK Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi perbedaan konsep belajar dan pembelajaran dalam bingkai kecerdasan jamak, urgensi kecerdasan jamak dalam pembelajaran, dan kecendungan penerapan pembelajaran berbasis kecerdasan jamak dalam pendidikan abad 21. Kajian ini menerapkan referencial-based research dengan mengumpulkan 40 dokumen yang relevan dengan teori kecerdasan jamak dan konsep belajar dan pembelajaran. Untuk melakukan pelacakan sumber, peneliti menggunakan enam searching engine otoritatif. Seluruh dokumen itu dianalisis dengan menggunakan prosedur analisis data kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa belajar dan pembelajaran adalah dua konsep yang berbeda, urgensi kecerdasan jamak dapat memfasilitasi keragaman kemampuan, sumber, aktivitas, dan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi. Arah dan kecenderungan PBKJ dalam Pendidikan Abad 21 adalah memperkuat konsep, strategi, sumber dan teknologi, serta lingkungan belajar
