Economic Education Program, Faculty of Economics, State University Malang gyovani.evan46@gmail.com, agung.haryono.fe@um.ac.id Abstract The purpose of this research is to analyze: (1) the influence of emotional intelligence to application of economic principle of consumption activity (2) the influence of advertising response in social media to application of economic principle of consumption activity (3) the influence of emotional intelligence and advertising response in social media to application of economic principle of consumption activity of class XI IPS of SMA Negeri 1 Kepanjen. This research conducts in quantitative which has explanation method to analyze the influence of independent variable of emotional intelligence and advertising response in social media to dependent variable of application of economic principle of consumption activity of class XI IPS of SMA Negeri 1 Kepanjen. The data collection uses a questionnaire towards 105 students as the samples. The data analysis uses multiple regression analysis of SPSS program version 22. The results of the analysis test in this study indicate that: (1) emotional intelligence effect on the application of economic principle of consumption activity of 8,4% (2) advertising response in social media influence on the application of economic principle of consumption activity of 8,1% (3) emotions and ad responses in social media have an effect on the application of economic principle of consumption activity equal to 16,5%.
