Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data, observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Informan dalam penelitian adalah pemerintah desa dan tamu yang datang berkunjung di desa tersebut. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui upaya pelestarian upacara ritual Huler Wair (penerima tamu), sehingga dapat meningkatkan daya tarik generasi penerus untuk melestarikan budaya. Pentingnya ritual ini dilestarikan karena tanda keselamatan. Huler Wair memiliki dua makna yaitu Huler dan Wair, dimana Huler memberikan kesejukan, kesegaran, dan kedamaian dan wair sebuah nadih kehidupan. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa nilai- nilai ritual Huler Wair di Desa Nenbura saat ini sudah perlahan terkikis seiring perkembangan jaman. Generasi sekarang lebih mudah melihat tren budaya luar sehingga menghiraukan budaya asal usulnya, seperti yang terjadi di masyarakat di DesaNenbura. Kata Kunci :nilai ritual; huler wair; adat isti adat ABSTRACT Huler wair is one of the rituals that is always present in every implementation of traditional activities where the stage of receiving guests with soka papak dance, remembering that the traditional rituals are interactions between fellow citizens. Researchers used a qualitative approach with data collection, observation, interview and documentation techniques. Informants in the study are the village government and guests who come to visit the village. The purpose of this study was to determine the efforts to preserve the ritual ceremony of Huler Wair (receptionist), to increase the attractiveness of the next generation to preserve culture. The importance of this ritual is preserved because of safety signs. Huler Wair has two meanings namely Huler and Wair, where Huler gives coolness, freshness, and peace and wair to a life of life. From the results of the study it was found that the ritual values of Huler Wair in Nenbura Village now have slowly eroded with the times. The current generation is easier to see outside cultural trends so that regardless of their cultural origins, as happened in the community in the village of Nenbura.
