Sebagai penentuan kepada batasan kajian, tulisan ini memfokuskan kepada 7 prosedur yang berkenaan sahaja sepertimana yang disyorkan oleh pihak pakar yang berkaitan. Dalil-dalil dan kaedah-kaedah syarak dirujuk bagi mengenalpasti pandangan syarak terhadap prosedur-prosedur tersebut. Hasil kajian ini mendapati bahawa rawatan kesuburan ini bukanlah isu baharu dalam perbincangan syarak. Walaupun begitu perbincangan berkenaannya lebih bersifat umum dan boleh dijadikan rujukan bagi mengenalpasti pandangan syarak terhadap prosedur-prosedur yang berkenaan. Selain itu, kajian ini juga dapat merungkai pandangan syarak terhadap isu-isu sampingan yang berkaitan prosedur-prosedur tersebut, di samping mengenalpasti bahawa ‘maslahah’ merupakan perkara yang sangat besar peranannya di sebalik keharusan prosedur- prosedur yang berkenaan. Akhirnya diharapkan tulisan ini akan dapat dijadikan rujukan dalam isu-isu baru khususnya yang memerlukan kepada penjelasan syarak terhadapnya. Katakunci: IVF, maslahah, perubatan Islam, halal ABSTRACT This paper aims to explain the syariah view on the implementation of fertility treatment procedures in the IVF category (in-Vitro Fertilization). In determining the limitations of the study, this paper focuses on seven (7) relevant procedures as recommended by the field experts. The arguments and rules of Islam are referred to in order to identify the syariah opinions of such procedures. The results of this study found that this fertility treatment is not a new issue in Islamic deliberations even though the discussions are in general but they can be used as main references to identify the syariah views on the procedures. In addition, this study also illustrates the syariah view of the incidental issues associated with these procedures as well as identifying that 'maslahah' is a very big part of its role despite the need for appropriate procedures. Finally, it is hoped that this paper will be used as a reference in the current issues, especially those requiring Islamic clarification on this crucial matter.
