The objective of this study was to examine the implememtation of tutoring attended by the fifth grade students of SD N 03 Margoyoso. This research was a descriptive qualitative study. The data were collected by using observation sheets, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The results showed that the teachers’ material coaching and mastery were good during the implementation of tutoring, but most teachers were less creative and innovative in motivating the students. However, the implementation of tutoring had a good relationship to students’ motivation. This can be seen from the students’ behavior and responses in learning. The conclusion of this study was the relationship between the implementation of tutoring and the students’ learning motivation was good since students were persistent to learn, resilient when facing difficulties, have a motivation and sharp attention in learning, excel in learning activities, and are independent when studying. Keywords: implementation of tutoring Abstrak: Lembaga bimbingan belajar merupakan salah satu pendidikan nonformal yang kehadirannya diharapkan dapat membantu siswa untuk menyesuaikan diri terhadap tuntutan akademis, sosial, dan psikologis. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu (1) menganalisis hubungan pelaksanaan bimbingan belajar terhadap motivasi belajar siswa kelas V SD N 03 Margoyoso. Metode penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif, teknik pengumpulan data berupa lembar observasi, wawancara, angket, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembinaan dan penguasaan materi guru baik pada pelaksanaan bimbingan belajar, namun sebagian besar guru kurang kreatif dan inovatif dalam memotivasi siswa. Meskipun demikian, pelaksanaan bimbingan belajar mempunyai hubungan dengan motivasi belajar siswa yang baik, hal tersebut dilihat dari perilaku dan respon siswa ketika belajar. Kesimpulkan penelitian ini yaitu hubungan pelaksanaan bimbingan belajar dengan motivasi belajar siswa baik, karena siswa tekun dalam belajar, ulet ketika menghadapi kesulitan, berminat dan mempunyai ketajaman perhatian saat belajar, berprestasi dalam kegiatan belajar, dan mandiri ketika belajar.
