Rose Lídice Holanda Universidade de Fortaleza (UNIFOR) Dr. Denilson de Queiroz Cerdeira Faculdade do Vale Jaguaribe (FVJ) RESUMO A hérnia de disco lombar, um deslocamento dos componentes do disco intervertebral, é um dos distúrbios degenerativos espinhais mais comuns e a principal causa de lombalgia e ciatalgia. O objetivo deste estudo é evidenciar a eficácia do tratamento conservador da Fisioterapia em pacientes com hérnia de disco lombar não submetidos à cirurgia para o embasamento dos profissionais da área. Foi realizada uma revisão sistemática da literatura nas bases de dados PEDro, PubMed e SCIELO acerca do tratamento conservador da Fisioterapia na hérnia de disco lombar. Este estudo incluiu artigos datados entre 2007 a 2018. Técnicas como tração extensão lombar, pilates, exercícios de estabilização, eletroterapia, entre outras reduziram os danos desta patologia. Neste estudo foi evidenciada a eficácia do tratamento conservador da Fisioterapia em pacientes com hérnia de disco lombar não submetidos à cirurgia. No entanto, se faz necessário mais estudos experimentais com amostras maiores e melhores desenhos metodológicos para acentuar a eficácia do tratamento conservador da Fisioterapia em pacientes com hérnias de disco lombar. ABSTRACT Lumbar disc herniation, a displacement of the intervertebral disc components, is one of the most common degenerative spinal disorders and it is the main cause of low back pain and sciatica. This study aims at demonstrating the effectiveness of conservative treatment with physiotherapy in patients with lumbar disc herniation not submitted to surgery, for the knowledge of professionals in the area. A systematic literature review was carried out in the databases PEDro, PubMed and SCIELO about conservative treatment with physiotherapy for lumbar disc herniation. This study included articles dated from 2007 to 2018. Techniques such as lumbar extension traction, pilates, stabilization exercises, electrotherapy, among others reduced the damages of this pathology. In this study it was evidenced the effectiveness of conservative treatment with physiotherapy in patients with lumbar disc herniation who were not submitted to surgery. However, it is necessary more experimental studies with larger samples and better methodological designs to emphasize the efficacy of conservative treatment with physiotherapy in patients with lumbar disc herniations.
