IJOLHI nº 5 ISSN 2515-9208 265 ISSN 2515-9208 / Nº 5 (2021) THE WITNESS EVIDENCE IN MEDIEVAL MANUALISTICS: THE VISION OF KRAMER AND SPRENGER Leandro Martínez Peñas Rey Juan Carlos University Abstract: The work of the inquisitors Kramer and Sprenger was the reference manual for the late medieval Inquisition; structured in three books, the last one focuses on the inquisitorial process and, out of the three, is certainly the one that has received least attention. In the latter, analysis of the procedural participation of witnesses plays an important role and constitutes a keystone, since legislation stipulated that the testimony of two honest men was enough to condemn someone as a heretic.
