Kharis Majid Tonny Ilham Prayogo Tistigar Sansayto Artikel dikirim: Rabu, 28 Juli 2021 Revisi dikirim: Sabtu, 4 Desember 2021 Abtrak Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengelaborasi 'covidiot' sebagai wacana yang muncul dalam masyarakat post-truth dan bagaimana gejala ini terkait dengan 'Anti-Otoritarianisme' dan 'Anti-Religiusitas'. Kehadiran Covidiot ini krusial untuk dipahami mengingat bahaya pengaruh mereka di level global dan domestik karena mereka menyanggah sebagian atau keseluruhan protokol COVID-19 sekaligus menyebarkan hoax dalam jumlah besar. Untuk memahami gejala covidiot ini, peneliti menggunakan metode 'analisis wacana' yang mengungkap substansi ideologis covidiot, mulai dari definisi dan sejarahnya, dilanjutkan dengan analisis mengenai hubungan antara COVID-19 dan masyarakat post-truth. Penelitian dilanjutkan dengan wacana pemahaman yang tepat mengenai dampak covidiot terhadap masyarakat, dan diakhiri dengan refleksi tentang bagaimana covidiot melambangkan tindakan 'anti-otoritarianisme' dan 'anti-religiusitas'. Artikel ini ditutup dengan kesimpulan dan implikasi praktis yang mengikuti analisis terhadap gejala covidiot. Kata Kunci: Covidiot, COVID-19, Post-Truth, Anti-Otoritarianisme, Anti-Religiusitas Abstract This article aims to elaborate on 'covidiot' as a discourse emerged within the post-truth society and how it is linked to 'anti-authoritarianism' and 'anti-religiousity'. Covidiot can be considered as one of the lethal ignorance practised by communities at the global as well as domestic levels. They refute in parts or even the whole COVID-19 protocols while at the same time distributing the massive number of hoaxes. In order to understand the worldview of the covidiots, this research utilizes the 'discourse-analysis' method to uncover their ideological content, and looks into its definition and history. It is then followed by an analysis concerning the phenomena of covidiots in the post-truth era within which they develop ‘anti- authoritarianism' and 'anti-religiousity' attitudes.
