Soedarto, S.H., Tembalang, Semarang, Indonesia email: edjengs@gmail.com THE INFLUENCE OF THE GIVING OF THE ADDITIVE FEED CASSAVA SKIN (Manihot Esculenta L)COMBINED WITH LACTIC ACID BACTERIA (Lactobacillus sp) ON QUALITY EXTERIOR QUAIL EGGS EARLY PRODUCTION ABSTRACT This research aims to assess the influence of the addition of the cassava skin combined with lactic acid bacteria as sinbiotik quail to feed to the quality of initial egg production. The material used was 240 quails aged 3 weeks maintained for 12 weeks each each of the cage plots containing 10 quails. The parameters observed were egg weight, shell thickness, egg resistance and egg calcium levels. The treatment given is T0 = basal ration + without feed additive T1 = basal ration + 1,6 % / kg feed additive, T2 = basal ration + 2,4 % / kg feed additive, T3 = basal ration + 3,2 % / kg feed additive. Data obtained were analyzed using variance analysis (ANOVA). The experimental design used was a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 6 replications. The results showed that the administration of cassava peel additive combined with lactic acid bacteria had no significant effect (P> 0.05) on egg weight, egg resistance and egg calcium levels but significantly reduced eggshell thickness (P <0.05). The conclusion of this study is that the treatment of feed additives at the level of T1 did not affect the initial phase of production so that it must be given at T2 level of 150 ml / kg feed additives did not adversely affect egg weight, calcium level and egg retention. Key words: additives, cassava peels, lactic acid bacteria, quail, the quality of the exterior.
