No human living in this world does not want to be happy. Millions of papers and books have been written explaining how to live happily, especially life in this world. In the Islamic world, however, a true happy life is the life in the hereafter. The desire to lead a happy life is often not accompanied by knowledge and real actions. Therefore, this paper wants to present Nursi's and Haruyama’s view on how to become a very happy person both in the world and in the hereafter. For Nursi, eternal life in the afterlife is everything. There is no other way to lead the happiest life except that to prepare ourselves, in the form of the provision of faith, piety, and good deeds. Nursi emphasized, “If you want to understand what great happiness and bounty, what great pleasure and ease are to be found in belief in God 1 .” On the other hand, Haruyama saw that in humans there is a very essential hormone that needs to be activated in order for humans to feel happy. This hormone is called beta- endorphins. The hormone can improve humans mood, memory, enthusiasm, endurance, and creativity as well as reduce aggressiveness in human relationships with others, so that it can increase the body's resistance to various diseases. It is certain that when this hormone is released from the human brain, they will feel happy. These two views find their meeting point in human spiritual life.
