Performance is a byproduct of learning at all stages of academic pursuit, and it is influenced by a variety of factors present at the time of learning as well as those present between learning and application (Enyi, 2009). Students whose academic performance falls short of their abilities have been the focus of considerable attention and research, making poor academic performance one of the most serious problems and a major worry in today's schools and institutions.
