In 2017, WHO indicated that 450 million people are diagnosed with mental disorders worldwide. This study aimed to determine the characteristics of the essential oil of the Cananga flower (Cananga odorata), which was formulated as roll-on aromatherapy. This research was conducted by making three formulas in laboratory experiments with different concentrations of Cananga essential oil (Cananga odorata L.), namely 10%, 20%, 30%. A physical test was later conducted to determine the most stable formula and the most preferred formula for aromatherapy preparations. Physical properties test included organoleptic test, pH test, and a preference test. Based on the tests performed, all formulas showed good results. Furthermore, a preference test was carried out on 50 panelists to try each formula, and it was concluded that formula 1 with a concentration of 10% received a response of 42%.
