Resumen El propósito de este texto es analizar la evolución del western y su relación con los cambios de la sociedad, en base a varias películas y hechos históricos que ocurrieron durante su rodaje y estreno. Para ello, se desarrollará un análisis descriptivo-argumentativo en base a una metodología mixta. Aquello, desde la perspectiva de autores como Jung y Vogler, se pretende describir las principales características de los arquetipos y su relación con la trama. Asimismo, se tratará de examinar cómo se configura tanto el origen del héroe como su respectivo viaje a través de la revisión de varios filmes y roles, asociados al género en cuestión, en base a autores como Campbell y Gutiérrez. Abstract The purpose of this text is to analyze the evolution of the western and its relationship with changes in society, based on various films and historical events that occurred during its filming and premiere. For this, a descriptive- argumentative analysis will be developed based on a mixed methodology. That, from the perspective of authors such as Jung and Vogler, is intended to describe the main characteristics of the archetypes and their relationship with the plot. Likewise, it will try to examine how both the origin of the hero and his respective journey are configured through the review of various films and roles, associated with the genre in question, based on authors such as Campbell and Gutiérrez.
