Nasution No. 105 Cibiru, Bandung, Jawa Barat, Indonesia 40614 adnanmukhtar72@gmail.com Email: Received; January 2017; accepted June 2017; published June 2017 ABSTRACT One of problems in the teaching of Arabic language in the Islamic Elementary Schools at Tasikmalaya is the lack of teachers competent that make the implementation of teaching and learning is less successful. The research is aimed at developing a product, that is a program of integrated training that improves pedagogic competence on the part of Arabic language teachers of Islamic Elementary schools in Tasikmalaya. The method used in this research is research and development method. The data were collected through observation, interview, questionnaires, and test. The research reveals that the integrated training program has some strong points: a) based on the need assesment, b) connecting indoor training activities with teaching practices at schools which are directly monitored by the trainers; meanwhile, the weak points of the program are as follows: involving a lot of experts and practitioners; if there is no synergy among them the program cannot run well; c) the program can significantly improve the pedagogic competence of Arabic language teachers.
