into Africa is widely considered a poverty reduction
tool through smoothing household consumption and fulfilling government
balance of payment. As a result, the empirical evidence is focused on balance
of payment and household consumption as drivers of remittance into Africa
(Ajefu et al., 2020; Amidu et al., 2019; Huay & Bani, 2018; Siani, 2020).
However, a significant population of the diaspora are interested in remitting
finance into the home country to set up enterprises (Jia & Sun, 2020; Saadi,
