Abstract. Cultural institutions and sites currently debate on how to respond to
new trends, such as globalisation, exponential growth of digital cultural content
and Apps, and reach technological knowledgeable users. In addition, institutions
need to look for new ways of engagement, as the engagement of citizens with
their cultural heritage environment remains low. This paper presents the pre-
liminary results of a qualitative research performed to evaluate new opportu-
nities for the COOLTURA Platform (output of TAG CLOUD project); as well
as the proposal of developing the COOLTURA resource-driven governance
model to support the COOLTURA Platform up-take.

cally web2.0 oriented applications, are being deployed as main support for transactions
