Supplemental Method Participants As participants could not reliably report on whether they were receiving psychiatric medication, we chose to only exclude participants based on the above mentioned criteria. Considering, that sampling was community-based and the rates of participants receiving psychiatric care in this community is low (see CONSORT), we believe that we indeed excluded participants that received any form of mental health treatment and most likely those receiving psychiatric medication and the exclusion criteria are well justified. The selected sample of Eritrean asylum seekers are representative of a large and fast- growing population of forcibly displaced people in the current global refugee crisis (UNHCR, 2019).
