Assim sendo, elencar-se-ão temáticas como: “Alfabetização e letramento”, “O que é letramento”, “A Importância da leitura e escrita e o papel do professor neste processo”. Caracterizado como pesquisa bibliográfica, a mesma discorre sobre um breve apanhado histórico, distinções entre Alfabetização x Letramento e seus respectivos conceitos, bem como sua importância no desenvolvimento da leitura e da escrita. Concluindo desta forma com a importância do método escolhido para alfabetizar e o quão importante é o papel que o letramento desempenha para erradicar o analfabetismo funcional. Para sedimentar as discussões aqui trazidas, foram consideradas leituras sobre os PCN’s - Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais de Língua Portuguesa, assim como estudos de pesquisadores na área. Abstract: Te work in question will have its culmination, highlighting issues relevant to literacy and alphabetization, discussing practices about the process of reading and writing in elementary school, as well as the importance of this process for the social and educational life of the student. To this end, the following topics will be listed: “Literacy and literacy”, “What is literacy”, “Te Importance of reading and writing and the teacher´s job in this process”. It is a bibliographical research that discusses the historical overview, distinctions between LITERACY and Alphabetization and its respective concepts, as well as its importance in the development of reading and writing. Concluding in this way with the importance of the method chosen for literacy and how important is the role that literacy plays in eradicating functional illiteracy. To consolidate the discussions, readings were taken on the PCN’s - National Curricular Parameters of the Portuguese Language, as well as studies of researchers in the area.
