BI ONOM IA DE Dy;;de !'aus maui• u,..; DISTANT, 1 90 1 (HEM IPTERA: PYRRHOCORI DAE) Josimar R. de Al meida 1 Ro bert o d e Xe rez 1 ABSTRACT Bionomy of Dysderaus ma urus Distant, 1901 (Hemiptera, Pyrrhocoridae) As pe cts of the bionomy of Dysderaus maurus (Hemiptera, Py rr hoco ri d ae), were studied with 40 insect couples reared unde r laboratory conditions. The me an adult life span was 32,7 day s. Egg s wer e laid in groups ar isolated, being then covered by sand. Co pulation stoped during egg laying and started a- gai n a f t e r 3 to 5 hours. The average number of eggs decreased f r om the first to the nineth laying, while the eclosion rate increased from the first to the third laying, and decreased fro m the fourth to the last one.
