Refetir sobre esse termo é perti- nente como suporte teórico e metodológico no desenvolvimento de estudos sobre história dos meios de comunicação ou das mídias. A opção metodológica foi levantamento bibliográfco acerta do conceito “fato”. Entre os aportes teóricos mais importantes nesta refexão, estão as abordagens: de Émile Durkheim, Robert Park (1940), Muniz Sodré (1996; 2009), Ana Paula Goulart Ribeiro (2003), Liriam Sponholz (2009) e Fabiane Moreira (2004). This article is mainly aimed to discuss the polysemic concept indeed - crucial in journalism - and their ratings on social, historical and journalistic, understanding communication as a feld in con- stant interaction with other felds of knowledge.
