Thus, this study aimed to verify the perception of quality of life among university students in the state of Amazonas, Brazil . Methodology: This is a descriptive cross- sectional study with a quantitative approach, involving 600 students (272 men and 328 women), aged between 18 and 37 years (25.54 ± 5.36). The instrument used to assess HRQoL was the SF-36, an instrument that assesses physical and mental concepts encompassed in eight distinct domains. Data were analysed using simple descriptive statistics, with determination of means, medians and standard deviations, with a significance level of 5% (p≤0.05). Results: The evaluated domains that were satisfactory were functional capacity (84.0), pain (41.0), vitality (56.8) and mental health (65.4). The domains limitation in physical aspects (72.2), general health status (48.1) and limitation in emotional aspects (62.2) presented unsatisfactory values. When comparing genders, no significant differences were found. Conclusion: The HRQoL level of the sample was classified as satisfactory, but with domains such as limitation due to physical aspects, mental health, vitality and emotional aspects not very satisfactory, especially because they are university students with low average age, which reinforces the need of researching the factors that have negatively influenced the general quality of life of this population, which requires more attention from researchers and public managers in the area of preventive health. PERCEPCIÓN DE LA CALIDAD DE VIDA RELACIONADA CON LA SALUD (QVRS) DE ESTUDIANTES UNIVERSITARIOS EN AMAZONIA Introducción: La Calidad de Vida Relacionada con la Salud (CVRS), variable subjetiva y multidimensional, ha intrigado a los investigadores del mundo contemporáneo, ya que es un factor determinante en la promoción de la salud en cualquier población. Así, este estudio buscó verificar la percepción de la calidad de vida entre los estudiantes universitarios del estado de
