DATA ABOUT THE UROPODINA (ACARI: MESOSTIGMATA) FAUNA OF LATVIA. – Latvijas entomologs 42: 77-80. Abstract: Six Uropodina species (Dinychus septentrionalis (TRÄGÅRDH, 1943), Dinychus woelkei HIRSCHMANN et ZIRNGIEBL-NICOL, 1969, Trichouropoda ovalis (C.L. KOCH, 1839), Trichouropoda shcherbakae HIRSCHMANN, 1972, Uroobovella fimicola (BERLESE, 1903), Uropoda orbicularis (O.F. MÜLLER, 1776)) from Latvia are listed. Five of them are new for the fauna of Latvia. Key words: Acari, Uropodina, Latvia, fauna. Introduction The Uropodina fauna of Latvia is poorly investigated. Until now only 2 Uropodina species, Uropoda orbicularis (O.F. MÜLLER, 1776) and Uroboovella marginata (C.L. KOCH, 1839) were known there (Eglitis 1954; Karps et al. 1990). This was mainly due to the absence of specialists of this group in Latvia. Abbreviations used in the text: L. – collected substrates, Distr. – district, f. – forest, R. – river, L. – lake. Number of Uropodina specimens was not counted. List of species Uropodina KRAMER, 1881 Uropodidae BERLESE, 1892 Dinychus septentrionalis (TRÄGÅRDH, 1943) Short description.
