This theory in this research using Uses and Gratifications with corelational methods. Data collection techniques used in this study came from questionnaires, observations, interviews, and literature studies. The data analysis technique used is simple random sampling. The results of this research indicate that twitter Jatinangorku have a significant relationship to the information needs of the area sorrounding Jatinangor for followers. It mean that the existence of twitter Jatinangorku as an informative account for the Jatinangor area sufficent to meet the information needs of the followers need. Keywords : information needs, twitter Pendahuluan Jatinangor merupakan salah satu kecamatan dari Sumedang yang memilki beberapa perguruan tinggi berdiri didalamnya. Dengan keberadaan beberapa perguruan tinggi tersebut maka banyak dari penduduk Jatinangor berasal dari luar atau sering disebut dengan istilah pendatang.
