Farmakologika Jurnal Farmasi Vol XV No.2 Agustus 2018 P ISSN: 1907-7378: e ISSN: 2559-1558 UJI EKSTRAK ETANOL DAUN NANGKA TERHADAP GAMBARAN HISTOPATOLOGI PANKREAS TIKUS PUTIH JANTAN DIINDUKSI STREPTOZOTOCIN Andi Atira Masyita 1 , Moh.Ikbal 2 , Joni Tandi 2 1 Program Studi D3 Farmasi, AKFAR Medika Nusantara Palu 2 Program Studi S1 Farmasi, STIFA Pelita Mas Palu Email : stifapelitamaspalu@yahoo.co.id ABSTRAK The aim of this research is to know the effect of jackfruit (Artocarpus heterophyllus Lamk.) leaf ethanol extract and the effect of multistage effect of jackfruit (Artocarpus heterophyllus Lamk.) leaf ethanol extract on the regeneration of male strain of streptozotocin-induced pancreatic β male rats (Rattus norvegicus).This research is a laboratory experimental research using 30 rats which was divided into 6 groups, each group consisting of 5 rats in which group 1 (normal control), group 2 (sick control) was given NaCMC 0.5 % b / v, group 3 (positive control) were given glycemenklamid dose 0.45 mg / kg BW, groups of 4.5 and 6 were each given jackfruit leaf extract (Artocarpus heterophyllus Lamk.) dose 175, 250, and 400 mg / kg bw orally for 21 consecutive days. Description of the extent of pancreatic histopathologic damage observed with HE staining using a 400x Olympus Cx-21 magnification microscope.The results showed that: there are metabolite compounds alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, steroids tannins and polyphenols in jackfruit leaf ethanol extract; jackfruit leaf ethanol extract has an effect on pancreatic β cell regeneration with effective dose of 400 mg / kg b w, and administration of jackfruit leaf ethanol extract at doses of 175 mg / kg bw and 250 mg / kg bw did not give maximum effect to regeneration of pancreatic β cells of white male rats induced streptozotocin. Keywords : Diabetes, jackfruit leaves, histopathology, pancreas, white rats ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efek ekstrak etanol daun Nangka ( Artocarpus heterophyllus Lamk.) dan pengaruh efek dosis bertingkat ekstrak etanol daun Nangka (Artocarpus heterophyllus Lamk.) terhadap regenerasi sel β pankreas tikus putih jantan (Rattus norvegicus) yangdiinduksi streptozotocin. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen laboratorium dengan menggunakan hewan uji sebanyak 30 ekor tikus dibagi menjadi 6 kelompok, tiap kelompok terdiri atas 5 ekor tikus dengan rincian kelompok yaitu kelompok 1 (kontrol normal), kelompok 2 (kontrol sakit) diberi suspensi Na CMC 0,5% b/v, kelompok 3 (kontrol positif) diberi glibenklamid dosis 0,45 mg/Kg BB, kelompok 4,5 dan 6 masing-masing diberikan ekstrak daun Nangka (Artocarpus heterophyllus Lamk.) dosis 175, 250, dan 400 mg/Kg BB per oral selama 21 hari berturut-turut. Gambaran tingkat kerusakan histopatologi pankreas diamati dengan pewarnaan HE menggunakan mikroskop Olympus Cx-21 perbesaran 400x.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: terdapat senyawa metabolit alkaloid, flavonoid, saponin, steroid, tanin dan polifenol pada ekstrak etanol daun Nangka; ekstrak etanol daun Nangka memiliki efek terhadap regenerasi sel β pankreas dengan dosis efektif 400 mg/kg BB, dan pemberian ekstrak etanol daun Nangka pada dosis 175 mg/kg BB dan 250 mg/kg BB tidak memberikan efek maksimal terhadap regenerasi sel β pankreas tikus putih jantan yang diinduksi streptozotocin.
