The muon g-2 in the light of two photon physics and first lessons from the LHC Fred Jegerlehner fjeger@physik.hu-berlin.de Graduiertenkolleg und EMG Seminar des Instituts f ¨ ur Physik, JG Universit¨ at Mainz, 27. Juni 2012 Abstract I give a brief summary of the status of the muon anomaly and then focus on problems in the determination of the hadronic light-by-light contribution. I will discuss how yet to be collected experimental data can constrain better the non-perturbative amplitudes required. The impact of recent LHC results for the interpretation of the muon g-2 ”discrepancy” is briefly discussed. F. Jegerlehner JG Univ. Mainz June 2011
