80 www.scientia-sanbeda.org Tis paper will identify signifcant roles of Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines as a critical collaborator with the State. Instead of retribution and legal execution, the leaders of the Church in the Philippines are calling the government to encourage non-retribution-based justice; a non-retaliatory principle based on love, mercy and justice being taught by Jesus. Other than theological and Biblical perspectives to support above key points, multi-disciplinary approaches such as juridical, sociological, psychological, criminal justice and other felds of thought will also be used to explain the relevance of the statement of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines as a willing yet critical cooperator with the afairs of the State. In plaats van vergelding en juridische executie roepen de leiders van de kerk op de Filippijnen de regering op om niet- repressieve gerechtigheid aan te moedigen; een niet-vergeldingsbeginsel dat gebaseerd is op liefde, genade en gerechtigheid die wordt onderwezen door Jezus. Naast de theologische en Bijbelse perspectieven om de bovengenoemde kernpunten te ondersteunen, zullen ook multidisciplinaire benaderingen zoals juridische, sociologische, psychologische, strafrechtelijke en andere denkrichtingen worden gebruikt om de relevantie uit te leggen van de verklaring van de katholieke bisschoppenconferentie van de Filippijnen als een bereidwillige maar kritische samenwerking met de zaken van de staat. In diesem Papier werden wichtige Aufgaben der philippinischen Bischofskonferenz als wichtiger Partner des Staates aufgezeigt. Statt Vergeltung und rechtliche Hinrichtung rufen die Führer der Kirche auf den Philippinen die Regierung auf, eine auf Vergeltung beruhende Justiz zu fördern. Ein nicht-vergeltungsendes Prinzip, das auf Liebe, Gnade und Gerechtigkeit beruht, die von Jesus gelehrt werden. Neben theologischen und biblischen Perspektiven, die über Schlüsselpunkte hinausgehen, werden multidisziplinäre Ansätze wie die juristische, soziologische, psychologische, strafrechtliche und andere Denkrichtungen auch dazu genutzt werden, die Relevanz der Erklärung der philippinischen Bischofskonferenz als willens, aber kritisch mit den Angelegenheiten des Staates zu erklären.
