Ngacha Njeri School of Business Mount Kenya University ABSTRACT This study aimed at examining the influence of M&E on success of CDF infrastructural programs in Marakwet West Constituency, Elgeyo Marakwet County. The study was grounded on management supposition theory. The study was anchored on pragmatic paradigm and adopts descriptive study design. A total of 85 subjects comprising of 75 Chairpersons of Project Management Committee (PMC) and 10 Constituency development fund committee (CDFC) members were involved in the research. Stratified random sampling method was used in sampling respondents where 73 elements were picked from the entire subjects applying Krejcie and Morgan (1970) sampling technique. Structured survey tools were used in gathering information while interview schedule was used to interview 10 CDFC members. Regression analysis technique was applied in examining the linkages among variables while descriptive statistics were used to explain the attributes of variables. SPSS 22.0 version was applied in examining quantitative information. The study findings indicated that project M&E on the success of CDF infrastructural programs (r=0.637; p<0.05). The study concluded that project M&E has a significant effect on success of CDF infrastructural programs. The study recommended the management of the constituencies to ensure that they have appropriate project M&E that are beneficial to the community and society. Type of the Paper: Research Paper.
