The poverty rate in Aceh on year 2017 is 15.92% or 829,080 people. Based on the results of the National Economic Survey (SUSENAS), Aceh has been ranked as the sixth poorest region nationally and as the poorest regions in Sumatra. This research aims to see whether there is a correlation between cigarette consumption and the poverty rate in Aceh. The method used in this research is the Panel Data Analysis with regression model. The results of this research shows that there is a positive correlation between the amount of cigarette consumption expenditures and the poverty rate in the Regency / City of Aceh. It means that when the number of cigarettes consumption is constant or growing continuously, poverty rate will increase linearly. Keywords: Poverty, Cigarette consumption, Panel Data Regression ABSTRAK Jumlah penduduk miskin di Aceh terus mengalami peningkatan selama lima tahun terakhir. Tingkat kemiskinan Aceh tahun 2017 sebesar 15,92% atau 829.080 jiwa. Tingginya angka kemiskinan di Aceh menyebabkan Aceh menduduki peringkat ke enam termiskin di Indonesia dan pertama di Sumatera, berdasarkan Hasil Survey Ekonomi Nasional (SUSENAS). Adapun penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat apakah ada pengaruh antara konsumsi rokok dengan tingkat kemiskinan di Aceh. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Metode Regresi Data Panel. Hasil penelitian ini menjelaskan bahwasanya ada hubungan positif antara jumlah pengeluaran konsumsi rokok pada masyarakat miskin di Kabupaten/Kota se- Provinsi Aceh. Artinya ketika jumlah konsumsi rokok tetap dan terus bertambah maka secara linear kemiskinan akan terus meningkat.
