Revista Scientia Plena Jovem v. 7, n. 1, 2020 www.spjovem.com.br A IMPORTANCIA DO ENSINO DA LINGUA INGLESA: UMA EXPERIÊNCIA COM ALUNOS DO ENSINO MÉDIO * Rosinadja Batista dos Santos Morato 1 e Lara Suenia Santa Cruz Barboza 1 1 Curso Graduação em Letras-Inglês, Universidade Federal de Sergipe (UFS) rosinadja@yahoo.com.br; laarasc@hotmail.com RESUMO O presente relato refere-se à experiência do Estágio Supervisionado em Língua Inglesa (LI), cujo objetivo foi observar a receptividade dos alunos do ensino médio ao aprendizado da LI; e identificar, partindo da percepção dos estudantes, a importância do ensino/estudo da LI como disciplina obrigatória na Educação Básica. Realizamos um Grupo Focal com alunos do Ensino Técnico e utilizamos a análise de conteúdo. Os alunos destacaram a LI como requisito para uma boa colocação no mercado de trabalho e para ampliar as perspectivas culturais reduzindo fronteiras. Apresentaram críticas à metodologia tradicional, pois ela negligencia os recursos digitais disponíveis na internet e nas redes sociais, e demonstraram que buscam suprir a lacuna apresentada pela educação formal usando eles próprios as tecnologias e as redes sociais a seu favor. Consideramos que os estudantes apresentaram uma visão racional e clara quanto à importância do estudo da LI. ABSTRACT The following research refers to the Supervised internship in the English course's experience, whose objetive was observe the repeptivity of the students of the high school to the learning of the English language. And identify, using the perception of the students, the importance of the English teaching as a required subject to the Basic Education. We did a Focus Group with the students of the Technical Education and we use the analysis of the content. The students affirmed that the English language as a requirement to be succeed in the job market and to increase the cultural perspectives and reducing the barriers. They criticized the tradicional methodology, that ignores the available digital resources on the internet and on the social networks, and they demonstrated that they seek to make up the gap that the formal education causes using themselves the tecnology and the social networks in their favor. We considered that the students presented a racional and clear vision about the importance of the study of the English Language.
