PENDAHULUAN Anemia gizi merupakan salah satu masalah gizi di Indonesia. Sebagian besar anemia ini adalah anemia gizi besi. Penyebab anemia gizi besi terutama karena makanan yang dimakan kurang mengandung besi, terutama dalam bentuk besi heme. Disamping itu, pada wanita terjadi kehilangan darah karena haid dan persalinan 1 . Anemia defensi besi terjadi ketika simpanan zat besi total menipis yang mengakibatkan penurunan hemoglobin 2 . Kekurangan zat besi sejak sebelum hamil bila tidak diatasi dapat mengakibatkan ibu hamil menderita anemia. Kondisi ini dapat mengakibat- kan kematian maternal, peningkatan angka kesakitan dan kematian janin, serta peningkatan risiko terjadinya berat badan bayi rendah 3 . ABSTRACT Prevalence pregnant mother anemia at Yogyakarta Provinsi may as big as 30,13% with details at Yogyakarta City that is 26,79%, at Bantul as big as 21,55%, at Kulon Progo as big as 42,39%, at Sleman as big as 43,90%, at Gunung Kidul as big as 58,70%. Based on result survey foreword that done in December 2008 at Puskesmas Mlati II Sleman, Yogyakarta, got anemia pregnant mother monitoring basic data at Puskesmas Mlati II 2008 that is found 124 pregnant mothers and there are 37 or around 29, 84% suffering anemia. This matter showed that there is still low level absorption nutrient substance especially ferrum, protein and vitamin C. To know absorption of iron substance, protein and vitamin C in pregnant mother iron defciencies anemia at Puskesmas Mlati II Sleman. This research is observational research, with research plan cross sectional, analyzed descriptively. This research subject is all pregnant mothers iron defciencies anemia that examined pregnancy at Puskesmas Mlati II Sleman to detect ferrum, protein and vitamin C absorption. Ferrum absorption with category very less that is 40 respondents (93%), while that has ferrum absorption with good category and less each only 1 respondent (2%). as much as 31 respondents protein absorption was very less (72%). as much as 39 respondents vitamin C absorption was very less (91%). The average pregnant mother hemoglobin degree anemia as big as 10,07 mg/dl and light anemia (95,35%). ferrum absorption a large part subject is in category very less (93%). protein absorption a large part subject is in category very less (72%). vitamin C absorption a large part subject is in category very less (91%).
