Along with the lack of sex education for people with mental retardation, some of them tend to be manipulated so that they are often used as objects of sexual harassment and venting. Teachers have a responsibility to teach about sexual education in schools from an early age to college. To date, comprehensive sexual education has not yet been integrated into the school curriculum. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of providing sexual education on the level of knowledge of special school teachers (SLB) in Padang City. The research design was one group pretest-posttest with total sampling technique. Data collection was carried out using digital forms. Analysis of univariate and bivariate data with Microsoft Excel 2010. The research response rate was 84.2%, with the characteristics of almost all respondents with undergraduate education level or more, half were in the age group above 40 years, almost all respondents were female, and half were over 13 years of work experience. The results of the T-test showed a p-value of 0.00010 < (0.05) which means that there is a significant effect between the provision of education and the level of knowledge of the special education teacher about sex and sexuality of mentally retarded children. It is recommended to make this activity a routine activity at school so that teachers understand better and can convey this information appropriately to students. Keywords: Adolescents with intellectual disabilities; Intellectual disabilities; Sexual education; Special school teachers ABSTRAK Ketidakmampuan untuk bisa hidup mandiri dengan keterbatasan kecerdasan pada anak tunagrahita membuat kelompok ini rentan terhadap masalah, termasuk masalah kesehatan reproduksi. Seiring dengan minimnya pendidikan seks bagi penyandang tunagrahita ini menjadikan sebagian diantara mereka cenderung untuk dimanipulasi sehingga kerap dijadikan objek pelecehan dan pelampiasan seksual. Guru memiliki tanggungjawab untuk mengajarkan tentang pendidikan seksual di sekolah mulai dari usia dini sampai ke perguruan tinggi. Hingga saat ini, pendidikan seksual yang komprehensif masih belum terintegrasi ke dalam kurikulum sekolah. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian
