Objective: Knowing the effect of counseling using backsheet media on the knowledge and skills of brushing teeth in dental filling patients at the Dental Poly of SMC Hospital, Tasikmalaya Regency. Method: The type of research used was a pre-experimental study with a one group pre and post design design, The sample in this study were all patients with patching treatment who came for 1 month totaling 25 people, sampling technique by accidental sampling. Results: wilcoxon signed rank test results, that the value of the patient's brushing skills at the Dental Poly of SMC Hospital Tasikmalaya Regency before being counseled using sheetback media with an average score of 15.72 (medium criteria), and the patient's brushing skills after being given counseling using return sheet media with an average score of 21.68 (good criteria). Conclusion: There is an effect of counseling using backsheet media on brushing knowledge and skills in dental filling patients at the Dental Poly of SMC Hospital, Tasikmalaya Regency, with a significant value of 0.000.
