1 The Definition of Sense of Humor: A New Perspective Eric J. Kolb Am Brink 4 31711 Luhden Germany Abstract The human sense of humor is an extremely interesting and complicated subject. As an attribute, the human sense of humors has been a source of pleasure, comfort, and defense. It may serve as a moderating social tool, a shield against attack, or a weapon of aggression. The faucets of humor are wide and numerous, which has led to the practice of using the term Sense of Humor as an umbrella definition for any and all aspects of humor, without specifically defining what the various aspects of humor are or defining the relationship between the various aspects of humor. The purpose of this work is to introduce a comprehensive definition of Sense of Humor would be applied to the various aspects of humor and at the same time differentiates between them.
