A 1-year old female local dog named Pogan with a history of enterectomy is examined with signs; limp, thin, decreased appetite and drinking. Physical examination results showed that the oral and eyes mucosa are anemis, dehydrated and thin. Routine hematology, total protein plasma (TPP) and albumin test gave results that the dog had hypochromic microcytic anemia, thrombocytopenia, lymphocytosis, decreased TPP and hypoalbuminemia. Based on anamnesis, physical examination and laboratory examination, the dog was diagnosed with hypochromic microcytic anemia caused by iron defciency (Fe). The treatment consisting of the subcutaneous infection of Fe (1ml/5kg BW per day) for fve days, the intravenous infusion of 128 ml human serum albumin as a supportive therapy for about four hours, and one tablet of Livron (vitamin B complex) daily for fve days gave good outcomes for the dog. Key words: dog; enterectomy; Fe defciency; hypochromic microcytic anemia Abstrak Anemia adalah terjadinya defsiensi eritrosit atau hemoglobin atau keduanya hingga kemampuan darah mengangkut oksigen berkurang dan sering dijumpai pada anjing. Anjing lokal betina bernama Pogan berumur 1 tahun dengan riwayat enterektomi diperiksa dengan keluhan; lemas, kurus, nafsu makan dan minum menurun. Hasil pemeriksaan fsik; mukosa mulut dan mata anemis, dehidrasi dan kurus. Hasil pemeriksaan hematologi rutin, total protein plasma (TPP) dan albumin menunjukkan bahwa anjing mengalami anemia mikrositik hipokromik, trombositopenia, limfositosis, terjadi penurunan nilai TPP dan hipoalbuminemia. Berdasarkan anamnesa, pemeriksaan fsik dan laboratorik anjing Pogan didiagnosis menderita anemia mikrositik hipokromik yang diakibatkan oleh defsiensi zat besi (Fe). Pengobatan dengan menggunakan preparat Fe dengan dosis 1 ml/5kgbb, subcutan selama 5 hari dan terapi suportif berupa infus serum albumin manusia dengan total volume 128 ml melalui infus intravena selama ±4 jam dan Livron (Vitamin B complex) 1tab/hari, per oral selama 5 hari memberikan hasil yang baik.
