The subjects in this study were students of the seventh-grade class of SMP Negeri 1 Suwawa Timur, which amounted to 22 students. Data in this study were obtained by using a test instrument of learning outcomes in the from of square and rectangular material objectives. The indicators used to determine st udents’ mathematics learning outcomes were 4, namely knowledge (C1), understanding(C2), Application (C3) and Analusis (C4). The results of this study showed that the average value of the presentation of learning outcomes of male students was 46,06%, whie the average value of the presentation of learning outcomes of female students was 55.76%. This finding revealed that the mathematics learning outcomes of male students were lower than the female students. The average presentation of student learning ability achievement according to each indicator was a follows: Average knowledge value of male students (45.45) and female students (81.81), average comprehension value of male students (47.27), and female students (58.58), average application value of male students (44.32), and female students (52.27), and average analysis value of male students (54.55) and female students (45.45) which indicated that the learning outcomes of students on each indicator were still incomplete. Keywords : Learning Nature, Learning Outcomes, Gender, Square and Rectangle ABSTRAK Jenis penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah penelitian Deskriptif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII-1 SMP Negeri 1 Suwawa Timur yang berjumlah 22 siswa. Data dalam penelitian ini diperoleh dengan menggunakan instrument tes hasil belajar berupa soal objektif materi persegi dan persegi panjang. Adapun indikator yang digunakan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar matematika siswa ada 4 yaitu : pengetahuan (C1), Pemahaman (C2). Aplikasi (C3), dan Analisis (C4). Hasil Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata presentase hasil belajar siswa laki-laki sebesar 46,06% dan nilai rata-rata presentase hasil belajar siswa perempuan sebesar 55,76%. Berdasarkan analisis hasil belajar matematika siswa pada materi persegi dan persegi panjang bahwa hasil belajar matematika siswa laki-laki lebih rendah dari pada hasil belajar matematika siswa perempuan. Rata-rata presentase capaian kemampuan hasil belajar siswa menurut tiap indikator yaitu sebagai berikut : Rata-rata nilai pengetahuan siswa laki-laki (45,45) dan siswa perempuan (81,81), Rata-rata nilai pemahaman siswa laki-laki (47,27) dan siswa perempuan (58,18), Rata-rata nilai penerapan siswa laki-laki (44,32) dan siswa
