Posto isto, enfocamos as relações vividas no ambiente escolar e o papel da escola na (re)produção destes rótulos. Investigamos, a partir da observação sistemática em uma escola de ensino fundamental da cidade de Mossoró-RN, situações do cotidiano escolar, bem como relatos de algumas(ns) estudantes da referida escola, a fim de apreender as expressões de desigualdade de gênero naturalizadas desde a infância. Concluímos, então, afirmando que o gênero não se remete tão somente a sexualidade, mas também ao reconhecimento que ambos os sexos são iguais na garantia dos direitos, no reconhecimento e respeito a identidade de gênero do outro. GENDER IN SCHOOL: a reality to be problematized ABSTRACT: problematize gender in the school configures itself as a discussion that strips the deconstruction of labels and stigmas related to sexuality. Therefore, we focus on the relationships lived in the school environment and the role of the school in the (re) production of these labels. We investigated, from the systematic observation in a school of fundamental education of the city of Mossoró-RN, situations of the school routine, as well as reports of some students of the mentioned school, in order to apprehend the expressions of gender inequality naturalized since childhood. We conclude by saying that gender does not refer only to sexuality, but also the recognition that both sexes are equal in guaranteeing rights, in recognizing and respecting the gender identity of the other.
