This study aimed to determine the profile of general characteristics and metabolic parameters of diabetics with hypoglycemia at the Internal Medicine Inpatient Installation of Dr. Soetomo Hospital on 2017 period. This study was a cross-sectional descriptive study using medical record data of type 1 and type 2 diabetic patients. The total number of hypoglycemic patients in type 2 diabetes was 79 patients. Most patients were in the 50-70 years age group (72.1%), female (60.8%), diabetes duration >5 years (40.5%), and consumsing sulfonylurea (27.8%). Most patients had eGFR value of <15 ml/min/1.73m 2 , 30-59 ml/min/1.73m 2 , 60-89 ml/min/1.73m 2 (24.1%), men’s SGOT <45 U/L (27,8%), women’s <35 U/L (55,7%), men’s SGPT <35 U/L (27,8%), women’s <30 U/L (46,8%), and albumin >3.5 gr/dL (59.5%). Most patients didn’t have any history of hypoglycemia (81%). The highest proportion of first blood glucose level was 30-49 mg/dL (39.2%), post-correction ≥70 mg/dL (76%), and 24 hours post -correction ≥70 mg/dL (67.1%). Hypoglycemic patients was greater in older patients, women, long duration of diabetes, sulfonylurea treatment, impaired kidney function, normal liver function, no history of hypoglycemia, low first blood glucose level, normal post-correction and 24 hours post-correction blood glucose level. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui profil karakteristik umum dan parameter metabolik penderita diabetes dengan hipoglikemia di Instalasi Rawat Inap Penyakit Dalam RSUD Dr. Soetomo periode 2017. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif cross- sectional menggunakan data rekam medik pasien diabetes tipe 1 dan tipe 2. Total pasien hipoglikemia pada diabetes tipe 2 adalah 79 pasien.
