Students are often found to experience misconceptions about 3D shapes concept with different causes. To tackle this problem, this study aims to identify the misconceptions experienced by students in the building material as well as to find out how ECIRR learning model assisted by the software Cabri 3D v2 could be implemented to reduce students’ misconception on 3D shapes concepts. The population in this study were students of MTs class VIII in Majalengka, with a sample of 23 students who experienced misconceptions about 3D shapes. The instruments used were in the form of a misconception identification test with CRI and a learning implementation observation sheet. The data were then analyzed by the Mc Nemar test to identify the remediation of students' misconceptions in the pretest-posttest and by the N-Gain Test to measure the effectiveness of the application of this learning model. Results of this study revealed that the application of the ECIRR learning model assisted by Cabri 3D v2 software decreased students' misconceptions and became a new thing for students to be active during learning and facilitate students in visualization.
