Avaliac;ao Morfofisiologica da Leucena (Leucaena leucocephala) Submetida a Dois Espac;amentos em Duas Epocas Weds Batista Lopes!, Divan Soares da Silva2,Edgard Cavalcanti Pimenta Filho 2 , Rita Lucia da Silva3,Joseclayde Maria Querino Dias J RESUMO: Foi conduzido um experimento com a objetivo de avaliar a altura dos ramos, numero de brota<;oes, diametro dos ramos, a produ<;ao de MSjha e composi<;ao bromatol6gica da leucena submetida a dois espa<;amentos (1,0 x 1,0 e 1,0 x 0,5 m) em duas epocas de corte (seca e chuvosa), num delineamento inteiramente casualizado com seis repeti<;oes. Os cortes foram a 50 cm do solo, utilizando um intervalo entre cortes de 90 dias para epoca seca (dais cortes) e 60 dias para epoca chuvosa (tres cortes). 0 plantio foi realizado por meio de covas em parcel as de 10 x 10 m, com uma area util de 4 m 2 A analise de variancia nao mostrou efeito significativo (P>0,05) para 0 espa<;amento e a intera<;aoespa<;amento/epoca. Houve significancia (P<0,05) para 0 efeito epoca nas variaveis: altura dos ramos, numero de brota<;oes, diametro dos ramos aos 40 e 60 dias e para os teores de MS e PB da leucena. Evaluation of Leucaena (Leucaena leucocephala) Productivity Under Two spacing in Deferrences Two Seasons ABSTRACT: It was carried out an experiment aiming to evaluate the branch height, number of buds, diameter oho bud branches, production ofDMjha, and chemical composition of Leucaena submitted to two spacing (1.0 x 1.0 e 1.0 x 0.5 m) and two seasons (drought and rainy seasons). Cuts were made to 50 cm of soil using an interval among cuts of 90 days to the drought season (two cuts), and 60 days to the rainy season (three cuts). Experimental design was completely randomized one with six replicates, over the period of September 1997 to September 1998 in "Brejo Paraibano". Planting was made trough hollows at 10 x 10 m plants, with a useful area of 4 m 2 Analysis of variance had not significant (P>0.05) effect to the space and space/season interaction. There was significance (P<0.05) to the season effect on the variable following: branch height, number of shoots, branch diameter to the 40 and 60 days and to the Dry Matter and Crude Protein contents of Leucaena.
