I COLORI DEL RESTAURO 175 Progetto: il deposito museale dei dipinti dell’Ottocento. Metodologia di conservazione preventiva programmata e catalogazione digitalizzata PAOLA CARNAZZA, NAUSICAA SANGIORGI Abstract A pilot project started in the year 2019 for the scientifc fling, recording and conservation analysis of the artworks stored in the nineteenth century painting museum deposit at the Na- tional Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art. There are almost twenty thousand artworks within the museum: among these, about 19.600 are kept inside seven deposits for the several object typology (painting, carving, complex artwork, graphic design). The criteria governing spatial organization and artworks positioning (about 1200 paintings) were effectively planned since the time of deposit staging, in order to provide objects available and easy to fnd by well-defned and recorded location. Besides, restoration laboratories have the need of a spe- cifc conservation digital data-base where each artworks history is reported (execution tech- nique, state of conservation, previously performed as well as scheduled restoration works), in order to gain an easy and prompt conservative management of the whole art collection. For such reason, a pilot project of conservation recording and classifcation was conceived and opened, also to address museum internal activities as artworks handling for loans and exposi- tions. The adopted methodology is based on a user-friendly tool, i.e. an Excel data-base work- sheet with tables, linked sections and diagrams realization for data easy-and-direct readability. Keywords: pilot project, museum storage, preventive conservation, data-base, scheduled con- servation.
