É um tema relevante na contemporaneidade, sobretudo, aos professores/as que têm seu papel na realização de denúncias aos Órgãos Competentes. Para realizar esta pesquisa, optou-se pela metodologia da pesquisa qualitativa, do tipo descritiva, realizada em duas escolas de um município de Mato Grosso do Sul. Para isso, foi aplicado um questionário semiestruturado junto aos/as professores/as, dos anos iniciais do Ensino Fundamental (1º ao 5º ano), com o fito de compreender o que entendem sobre violência doméstica. Dentre os resultados alcançados, pode-se sintetizar que os/as professores/as possuem conhecimento sobre violência doméstica contra crianças e adolescentes e como devem proceder com as vítimas identificadas em sala de aula. Assim, conclui-se que os resultados obtidos com esta pesquisa podem colaborar, de maneira significativa, com a formação continuada de docentes, dando visibilidade à temática e oportunidade de se refletir sobre o assunto no cotidiano escolar. Palavras-chave: Educação; Violência doméstica; Criança; Professor; Escola. ABSTRACT This article aimed to investigate the knowledge of teachers regarding domestic violence against children. It is a relevant topic in contemporary times, especially for teachers who have their role in making complaints to the Competent Bodies. To carry out this research, we opted for the methodology of qualitative research, of the descriptive type, carried out in two schools in a municipality of Mato Grosso do Sul. For this, a semi- structured questionnaire was applied to the teachers, from the initial years from Elementary School (1st to 5th year), with the aim of understanding what they understand about domestic violence. Among the results achieved, it can be summarized that the teachers have knowledge about domestic violence against children and adolescents and how they should proceed with the victims identified in the classroom. Thus, it is concluded that the results obtained with this research can collaborate, in a significant way, with the continuing education of teachers, giving visibility to the theme and an opportunity to reflect on the subject in the school routine.
