Journal Of Animation and Game Studies, Vol 8 No 2 – Oktober 2022 ISSN 2502-499x 181 Perancangan Karakter Intania dalam Film Animasi “Saji” Ika Yulianti Program Studi Animasi, Fakultas Seni Media Rekam, ISI Yogyakarta ika@isi.ac.id Abstrak Manusia menjadi salah satu inspirasi untuk merancang karakter animasi yang memiliki karakteristik sesuai dengan imajinasi seorang desainer karakter. Hubungan antara desainer karakter dengan hasil rancangan karakter dapat memposisikan diri pada sebuah cerita yang dibuat sesuai dengan imajinasi. Pada tahap pra produksi animasi, terdapat proses prancangan karakter Intania sebagai tokoh utama dari film animasi “Saji” berbasis local genius. Desain karakter Intania dibuat dengan melakaukan pengimpulan data, analisis data dan dilanjutkan dengan proses penciptaan desain karakter. Karakter Intania diciptakan menggunakan metode kualitatif melalui pengambilan data. Penciptaan desain karakter Intania menggunakan konsep pendekatan Three Dimentional Development. Kata kunci: Animasi, Desain Karakter, Local Genius Abstract Humans are one of the inspirations for designing animated characters that have characteristics according to the imagination of a character designer. The relationship between character designers and the results of character designs can make characters position themselves in a story that is made according to their imagination. In the pre-production stage of animation, there is a process of designing the character Intania as the main character of the animated film "Saji" based on local genius. Intania's character design is made by collecting data, analyzing data and continuing with the process of creating character designs. Intania's character was created using qualitative methods through data collection. The creation of Intania's character design uses the concept of a Three Dimensional Development approach.
