August.2022 The role of the Imams of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) in confronting the Byzantine Roman state from the year (11-260 AH) ABSTRACT The imams of Ahl al-Bayt, peace be upon them, had a fundamental and clear role in confronting the policy of the Byzantine Roman state, and this was embodied in several aspects, including the political side. On the economic side, they urged to get rid of the pressure and threat that the Romans were doing in this aspect, and as for the intellectual side, they had the leading role in responding to the Romans, so they achieved a clear scientific and intellectual superiority over them and thwarted their plans that they wanted, so the Imams of Ahl al-Bayt were upon them.
