The Javanese need for safety, security, welfare, peace and tranquility in life created a belief system (Animism and Dynamism). They assume that every place in the world has guards who have supernatural powers (spirits) and character (good and bad). From this a mixture or acculturation was created between the religion of the immigrant and the beliefs of the ancestors. In this case, the ritual of salvation is one of the traditions resulting from cultural acculturation that is still preserved today. Usually this ceremony is led by local religious leaders (Modin) followed by eating together. And, it is intended to obtain salvation and protection from the almighty God. Keyword : Tradition,Tasyakuran 1. INTRODUCTION Tradition comes from the word "traditium" basically meaning everything inherited from the past. Tradition is the creation and work of human material objects, beliefs, delusions, events, or institutions that are passed on from something generation to the next.such as for example the customs, arts and properties used. Something that is inherited does not mean that it must be accepted, cherished, assimilated or stored to death. For the heirs of every thing they inherit is not seen as a " tradition ". accepted traditions will be a living element in the lives of its supporters. It is a part of the past that has been preserved until now and has the same standing as new innovations. Tradition is a picture of human attitudes and behavior that has been in process for a long time and is carried out for generations starting from the ancestors. Traditions that have been cultivated will be a source of one's character and character. A tradition or custom, in the simplest sense is something that has been done for a long time and becomes part of the life of a group of people, usually from the same country, culture, time or religion. Tasyakuran in the great dictionary of Indonesian, ta-sya-kur is a master of thanksgiving (to Allah); thanking (to God). Ber-ta-syakur means salvation to thank Allah (because his mind is carried out and so on). Tasyakur is taken from the basic word thanksgiving. Linguistically, gratitude also comes from the word "syakara" which means praise for the goodness and fullness of something. Gratitude also means revealing something to the surface. In this case, it reveals the favor of Allah Swt. While according to the term syara‟ gratitude is the recognition of the favors given by Allah accompanied by a position to Him and using those favors in accordance with the guidance and will of Allah.
