Este trabalho objetiva identificar as intervenções territoriais, e as relações multidireccionais e repercussões múltiplas, resultantes da não implementação de medidas estruturais e não estruturais. Pretende, ainda, identificar e refletir sobre as condições e estratégias de intervenção por parte do Poder Local em matéria de gestão do risco no município da Praia. Identifica-se a relevância da gestão e planeamento urbano e implementação de medidas preventivas eficazes para a mitigação do risco à escala local e da cartografia de susceptibilidade aos perigos e a avaliação do risco. ABSTRACT This essay consists in the presentation of a case study from which we intend to make a constructive reflection pertaining the instruments of management and planning of the municipal territory, with respect to the risk mitigation and considering a different reality that not the European. This work aims to identify territorial interventions, multidirectional relations and multiple repercussions, as a result of the lack of implementation of structural and non-structural measures. Still, it intends to identify and reflect on the conditions and strategies of intervention on the part of local risk management in the city of Praia. Identifies the relevance of urban management and planning, and of the implementation of effective preventive measures to mitigate the risk to the local scale and cartography of susceptibility to hazards and risk assessment.
